Sorry I have been away soooo long. With working full time and being in front of a computer all day I just want to stitch and do other things most of the time while I am off work. I did finish the Witches Hollow and have stitched a lot of other things since. Go to the bottom of the page and click on the link to my photobucket to see.

My friend that retired over a year ago finally found us a building and although she will own the shop, she is backing it financially and will be there the most I will still be heavily involved. It is sooo exciting. We just got the building this week. Now on to lots of work. I are hoping for a goal of having a grand opening by November 6th even if we don't have it fully stocked. Talk about EXCITED though. OMG There is no other shop anywhere close, NO WHERE to even get DMC floss.

Right now I am working on Autumn & Hawk Run Hollow and loving the colors.

Well, I am at my daughters for the weekend and we are going to head out of here soon to hit some antique and flea markets, looking for things for the shop.

I will try to get back on here more often. :)

I finally got put back what I had to take out on Witches Hollow last weekend though and then finished it about 10:30 last night. I will try to get a picture of it tonight and get that posted soon.
I had a weekend from H*** last weekend. I went to see my niece graduated from the University of Arkansas at Jonesboro and on the way back drove through the edge of a tornado although didn't know it at the time, then I went straight to a Relay for Life for Cancer and walked in that, it was 18 hours and I was there 14 of them. I walked so much I had blister about the size of a nickel on the bottom of both feet about center of the front pad. Went home and sleep and few hours and then about 7:30 Saturday night lightning hit the power pole to our house so then we had no electricity until about 4:00 Sunday afternoon and it was soooooo hot and muggy. When we got power back it had burnt up the power surge bar that my flatscreen TV and stereo were in, thank goodness it did it's job though and didn't damage either of those. We weren't so luck with the one that DH's desktop computer, TV and new x-box 360 were in. It didn't damage the computer or TV but it fried the transformer on that x-box. We ordered a new one but won't know if it did more damage to the unit until we get that. It messed up our air unit and now it keeps going back and forth from heat to cool to heat. It fuzzed the points on the timer to my washer. As far as we know though that is all it did. That was ENOUGH.

I guess I should have said what it was I was taking out but I was thinking I had posted a picture, :) I had done the owl, 3 motifs and a little house at the top of the piece I am working on. It's Witches Hollow from Primitive Needle. I had started the owl above the moon that has the 2 bats instead of above the bat on the left and I didn't realize it until I had done all that other and started wondering why there was so much space between those motifs and what I had already stitched before.

Oh well, not the first time I have taken something out and certainly won't be the last time.
Well, it took me 2 nights to take all of that out but I finally finished and restarted the owl last night. I got the wings and bottom part of the center done.

I won't be stitching tonight since I am captain of a team for Relay 4 Life for the American Cancer society and the relay is tonight, well actually 18 hours. I am having another team member be there at the beginning though because it starts at 6:00 tonight and my niece is also graduating from college with a Bachelor's of Science degree in Elementary Education at the same time. Plus it's about 1 1/2 hours from where the relay is. I am just going to go to that then come back and change clothes in the restroom of the site of the relay.

Oops, forgot the pictures.

Well, I started last night picking out some of what I put in on Witches Hollow Saturday plus all I had put in Sunday and then Monday night. I started that darn owl at the top just above the moon that has the 2 bats rather than above the bat on the left and then after finishing him I started stitching motifs going down the right side when I thought "hmmm, there sure is a lot of space between these. It took me a bit to figure out where I had messed up. That owl was not easy to stitch either, I hate it when designers use two symbols almost identical and most of him is symbols ) and (. I had put it in there to stay evidently because I spent over 1 1/2 hours last night just taking out the left wing and center of the owl.

I got Spot back from the framer on Saturday and I just love him. Here is a picture of him and also a picture of the wall where he is hanging in his place of honor.
